Nicole and Arv Larson advertisements
Description: Nicole and Arv Larson are both USCG-licensed Captains with extensive years power boating experience. We've owned several boats over the years; our current boat is a 55' Viking motoryacht. We've operated these boats on both the East and West coasts with frequent travel in Mexican waters. We've traveled extensively and have both been commodores of a Chesapeake Bay yacht club. We've crewed aboard ODYSSEY, a 60' custom trawler, during FUBAR 2013 and look forward to a similar success as crew members during CUBAR 2017. Between us we can captain your yacht, stand watches, make repairs, cook, assist as required, and stay out of trouble. Our boating experience includes Nicole's OUPV (6-pack) license and Arv's 100-ton master license. Nicole, a freelance writer and Paris Cordon Bleu graduate, writes the bi-weekly "Dock Lines" column in The Log boating newspaper and is a frequent author of "Quick Escapes" and features in SEA and Boat/US magazines, including articles on long-range cruising, dining aboard and other boating-related topics. She is a regular contributor to the Food and Home sections of the San Diego Union-Tribune as well as other publications. Nicole is comfortable in both colloquial Spanish and Mexican customs. Arv served as an officer-of-the deck underway and command duty officer aboard a Navy destroyer throughout the Pacific Ocean and is a California-licensed electrical engineer. He has considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems as well as marine engines and auxiliary systems. He has captained a variety of yachts with many associated experiences.
