Hi,
I am Vincent, an environmental policy researcher at UC Berkeley. I've been sailing for more than a decade, and own a 40 foot sloop on the East Coast. I'd love to crew on your boat during the Cal Offshore Race Week.
I've raced 2 seasons in Santa Barbara, mostly on a J/24, but also on a J/70 and Moore 24. I've also raced 1 season in the Bay mostly on an Express 27, but also on an Olson 25, Santana 22, and Ranger 33. I've done trimming, foredeck, pit, and mast.
I've also have organized and done several cruising trips on my Gulf 40 and other sailboats, namely from the Annapolis to Nantucket, Newport to Block Island, Santa Barbara to Santa Cruz Island, and Berkeley to Half Moon Bay. During these trips, I've been at the helm, trimmed, navigated, cooked, planned, performed first aid, and helped nurture a healthy, safe and fun atmosphere onboard.
At the dock or on the hard, I also have general boat maintenance experience doing fiberglass repairs, hardware mounting, diesel engine maintenance, etc.
I'd be more than happy to chat about how I can be a capable hand on your boat.
