Mint condition custom 14' sailing or rowing skiff professionally built. Cherry trim with quilted maple bowsprit. Full Sunbrella cover. Durable like fiberglass construction but much prettier. Sloop rig easily set up for sailing. Very stable boat - never tipped her over even in strong winds. Barkley Sound Oars Qualicum spoon blade oars. Compare to Whitehall Spirit 14' sailing rowboat at $27K with trailer - a lovely boat but not nearly the level of detail of this boat. The latest Chuck Paine designed 14' daysailor is great but costs $38,500 in fiberglass and $65,000 in wood. The Dolphin 14's inlaid teak veneer hatch cover, dolphin figurehead, rum barrel, and other custom touches make her one of a kind and virtually irreplaceable. She has a lifting bridle for crane launching.
She sails and rows fantastically. I have sailed her in San Diego Bay in a stiff breeze, significant swell, and lots of chop all the way to buoy 7 off Point Loma. She handled it far better than I would have imagined. Comes with 2008 Trailex SUT-250 trailer in near new condition as well. No slip fees here as she fits in your garage. Will sell for $3,500 or best reasonable offer. If sold to a SDYC member I will donate 10% of selling price to SDYC youth sailing program.
